What a surprise when we received an e-mail from Singapore, asking if we were available to take some couple photo’s. Colin + Pamela had contacted us via e-mail, saying they would love for us to take some photo’s of them, while they are visiting in Cape Town over May. Unfortunately, as we were scheduled over that time to do work in Gauteng, we referred them to other photographers. When we received an e-mail back from them saying they would fly specially to Gauteng to have their photo’s done, because they really wanted us to capture some couple photo’s, we were honored and could not wait to meet this couple from Singapore. After finding out what the couple loved and the feel they wanted to create in their images, we settled on Rosemary Hill as it had something of everything minus the sea. Colin + Pamela were so excited, they booked in at Rosemary Hill and spent a few nights there. From the minute we met this couple, we could just see they loved travelling, loved being together and loved meeting new people. As we spent the afternoon together, enjoy the autumn colours, much conversation was shared and we had such an enjoyable time with them. In our many conversations, we found out that weddings are very expensive in Singapore and so the couple had this idea of getting married and then on their honeymoon, to have couple photo’s taken. However, there was a huge special at the time on flights to South Africa and so they decided maybe they will first have the honeymoon, in South Africa and then get married at the end of the year in Singapore. Once we realized that this was the couple photo’s that they would use and make an album from, we were honored and humbled to be able to capture their story in such a unique way.
A warm autumn day, a beautiful setting and two people who were so excited to be together in this place. We had such a wonderful time with Colin + Pamela capturing their time together and their first time in South Africa. It was the sunset, with the lines of the trees and the golden sun shining through that really got us excited, beautiful moment with two genuine, lovely people. At the beginning of the shoot, Pamela told us how much she liked bunnies and how for each year that they have been together another bunny has been added to the collection. These bunny’s have traveled with them where ever they have traveled and on this special day they most definitely wanted a picture. Colin + Pamela, thank you for travelling to Gauteng so that we could capture these priceless moments. We pray that where ever you may journey together as a couple in your marriage that God will always be the foundation. May you enjoy many laughs together, travel many miles and when things get difficult may you never stop talking and trust Him, who has carried you so far to this point. What a joy to be able to meet you and we pray that one day our paths cross again on the many travels we will take.
