As the April month began, we were waiting in anticipation for the wedding of Tommy + Gisela. The reason for the excitement was because this was a couple in our church that after months of hard work and preparation were able to finally tie the knot at their almost newly purchased home. We had visited Tommy + Gisela a month prior to the wedding and so to see the transformation and realize the amount of hard work that had gone into putting together their dream wedding, we were amazed. This was truly a DIY wedding and many hands had been ropped in to help till early hours of the morning. From the décor, to the food and brides dress were all tied, sewed, cooked and made by family and close friends. With dirty feet and tired hands the joy and laughter could not be contained. As Gisela walked down the aisle, it was Tommy’s expression of thankfulness that this day finally has arrived and Gisela’s smile as she took the hand of her beloved that truly made all the hard work and wait worthwhile. Tommy + Gisela what a joy it was for us to be able to capture this special day, so lovingly prepared. May you hold fast to Christ, the perfecter of your faith as you journey together in this wonderful exciting and bumpy road of marriage. May you cling to Christ and His word to navigate you as you now venture together. Such a joy and delight to capture a wedding that truly honours the Lord.
‘Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.’ 1 Corinthians 13: 4 – beginning of 8
